We don't do anything - we get the characters that the keyboard gives us - it's
ubuntu that gives us the key strokes.
But ubuntu doesn't give qt applications keys strokes in the same way as it
gives to the applications you mention. That is why those applications are
irrelevant. Please try with another kde og qt application and you will see
calligra doesn't do anything special.
I am sorry but there is nothing we can do. I wish you the best of luck. And
please don't reopen the bug again.
