SUMMARY.
Using KDE Neon.
I use Jack for audio. Previously I have used ALSA loopback to bridge kdenlive
with Jack.
With jack running kdenlive was producing audio in the wrong soundcard, so I
went to the settings to tell it to use ALSA / Loopback. This did not produce
audio. I closed and restarted kdenlive I got the error message:
"Could not Create the Video Preview Window."
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Run Jack Audio Server
2. Attempt to send audio from Kdenlive via ALSA / Loopback in the kdenlive
settings
3. No audio.
4. Close and reopen kdenlive - new error message "Could not create the video
preview window" (see attached image).
5. Try to change audio settings again. Kdenlive crashes.
OBSERVED RESULT
No audio, no video, kdenlive crashes
EXPECTED RESULT
Audio bridged to Jack server.
