            Bug ID: 399823
Summary: Cancelling a forced renaming action leads to view
                    inconsistency
           Product: dolphin
           Version: 18.08.2
          Platform: Archlinux Packages
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: view-engine: general
          Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org
          Reporter: mue...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

I have a mounted CIFS share, which doesn't seem to support filename
case-sensitivity. When trying to rename a folder called "ABC" to "abc", Dolphin
complains that renaming will result in overwriting the destination and asks
what to do. Cancelling this dialog will abort the operation, but leave the view
in an inconsistent state, pretending the renaming succeeded.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Have a folder named "ABC" on a mounted CIFS share
2. Try to (inline) rename "ABC" to "abc"
3. A dialog will appear warning that this name already exists and asks what you
want to do
4. Cancel this dialog

OBSERVED RESULT

The view will show "abc", as if the renaming operation succeeded.

EXPECTED RESULT

Revert the view to the old state, showing the folder named as "ABC".
