Bug ID: 398439 Summary: "Windows can cover" panel does not pop-up with with mouse on screen edge under Wayland Product: plasmashell Version: 5.13.5 Platform: Gentoo Packages OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Panel Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org Reporter: ma...@laitl.cz Target Milestone: 1.0 Flags: Wayland+, X11- Hi, one Wayland-specific. Steps to reproduce: 1. Use Wayland session (kwin_wayland) 2. Set your panel to "Windows can cover" 3. Launch a maximized application 4. Move your mouse to edge of the screen where the panel is Expected results: Panel pops up. This is the way it works under X session. Actual results: Panel does not show up. You need to move windows away from panel to see it. It does not matter whether the covering window is native Wayland or XWayland one. After setting the panel to "Auto hide" it works correctly - it pops up even with maximized applications.
