There are few changes in AppImage which can introduce this dysfunction :
1/ Qt 5.9.3 => Qt5.9.6. I'm not sure if this really the source of this problem.
I can upgrate to Qt 5.11.1 to see if the result is better, but this can take a
while to configure and compile.
2/ KF5 5.41 => KF5 5.45. I feel this change can have side-effects with KXMLGUI
framework from KDE. I currently finalize to upgrade to last KF5 5.49 to see if
problem is fixed. This way is more easy to installing Qt 5.11.1
3/ As i can reproduce this dysfunction under Mageia6 while running the 6.0.0
beta AppImage, i tried to found a quick fix. Magically, deleting the digikam rc
file and restarting digiKam has fixed the problem. Of course, you will lost all
the GUI settings, but at least the dysfunction go out.
The ~/.config/digikamrc file is generated by KXMKGUI framework... do you feel
the bug ?
