Steps:
1. Start Wayland session.
2. Open XWayland window - tested with Firefox.
3. Invoke resizing with Meta+R shortcut.
4. Decrease size of window with mouse movement.
5. Press Esc key.

Actual:
Pointer motion confined to the current window... message appears

Expected:
No Pointer motion confined to the current window... message - because pointer
is not confined to the current window after pressing Esc

Reproducible: almost every time
