I just double click on the icon to open Dolphin. I haven't done anything special. I've been using Arch Linux with KDE for a couple of months, & then, it just all of a sudden started happening one day. I have no idea why. It still happens regularly. A strange thing is that, when you click the option to disable it, a popup message appears, but it doesn't actually pop up. The popup message stays closed down in the taskbar & out of focus.
