However, the most common use case of the KMenuEditor for me is to assign shortcuts to applications. The "search and edit" feature does make the access to the application settings a lot easier than the manual search in KMenuEditor. So making it possible to assign shortcuts would give me a productivity improvement. Another thought: In general, the shortcuts are also not Kickoff or <some Launcher> specific.
