Bug ID: 395396 Summary: Highlight effect keeps empty window after application closes Product: kwin Version: 5.12.5 Platform: Debian unstable OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: minor Priority: NOR Component: effects-various Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org Reporter: david.cortes.riv...@gmail.com Target Milestone: --- If I'm highlighting a window in the task manager (by activating the option "Highlight windows" in the configuration of e.g. the icons-only task manager and then hovering the mouse over the icon of that window), and that window closes, the highlight effect keeps focused on an empty window, instead of vanishing and returning the focus to the last active window. The effect vanishes after hovering the mouse over another icon and then moving it away from any icon. Steps to reproduce: -Activate "highlight windows" effect in the task manager - for the icons-only task manager, right click the task manager, select "Configure icons-only task manager", tick "Highlight windows". -Launch some application that would close by itself without input from the user. -While the application is active and its window is not on focus, hover the mouse over its icon in the task manager. -Let the application close. Expected behavior: -The "highlight" effect should terminate and focus should return to the last active window. Actual behavior: -The effect keeps highlighting an empty window. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
