            Bug ID: 360253
Summary: Krita crashes on v 2.9.11
           Product: krita
           Version: 2.9.11
          Platform: MS Windows
                OS: MS Windows
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: minor
          Priority: NOR
         Component: tablet support
          Assignee: krita-bugs-n...@kde.org
          Reporter: riepulai...@gmail.com

(This has partial resolve on using version 3.0, but this could also help some
of the people having same issue?)

I recently updated my OS to Windows 10 Pro (i had Win 8.1 Pro before). Before
upgrading my krita worked perfectly with my Trust tablet. After update, the
moment my pencil touched the tablet, krita stopped working and crashed (the
typical windows notification). Of course Krita doesn't crash if I use mouse. I
don't have another tablet to test this on, but as far as I have heard and
searched information, this is issue within for example Trust tablets.

I contacted trust support, from which I got reply that drivers for 8 should
work and I'm currently waiting for further reply since obviously that didn't
solve my issue. If I reinstall the drivers, on first start up the pen works
(seems laggy) but pressure sensitivity is gone. If I unplug and re-plug the
USB, krita crashes. If I restart krita, krita crashes on the moment I use my
pen.

So far I have attempted getting 3.0 prealpha build, which worked but no
pressure sensitivity. I renamed the krita folder (in APPDATA) to krita.bak.
That worked and I got pressure sensitivity to work. I have only tested this for
few minutes so far, so I can't tell if there's further issues but I'll update
if that happens. From this try, I have both krita and krita.bak -folders as a
zip file, if this would be any kind of help.

I attempted renaming krita folder to krita.bak in version 2.9.11 too, but first
time pressure sensitivity didn't work. I restarted krita, and I got the crash
issue again.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open krita version 2.9.11
2. Try to draw with your trust tablet
3. Krita stops working and crashes

Actual Results:
Windows error message : "Krita.exe has stopped working" - Problem problem
caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program
and notify you if a solution is available.

Expected Results:
Draw a line.

Build 3.0 seems to work so far with additional step to make pressure
sensitivity to work. Build 2.9.11 does not work with tablet.
