It's not a duplicate, because getting Spectacle stuck in fullscreen (but still
working) is different from hanging or even crashing the whole system due to
other (likely GPU) issues. The other bugs says "I can't alt-tab to another
window", while here the reporter mentions "alt-tab works to switch window".
STR for me on Qt 5.10 / Plasma 5.12:
- Start "spectacle", set combobox to "Rectangular Region", Ctrl + N
- Shift + Print to invoke global shortcut
- Esc to show we are stuck
- Ctrl + Cto kill spectacle
Interestingly, on a Qt 5.11 / Plasma 5.13 system I cannot reproduce.
Might also be related / similar to some issues Yakuake causes wrt. freezing
input handling, see Bug 378718.
