diffiing files in kdiff3, kompare and p4merge
At the moment Kompare has a functionality that shows in bold part of the line
that was changed. Sometimes it is hard to spot a difference (especially if it
is a difference of just a single character changed).
The other problematic situation is when there was a change to white space (for
example, an extra space was added by the auto-formatter). In such a case
spotting the difference between lines is a real challenge.
Suggested solution:
Implement similar way of showing diffs as it is done in p4merge (or Kdiff3),
i.e. background of section that has been changed should be different. Please
