1/ first use the digiKam Linux AppImage bundle 6.0.0 pre-release instead your
system version.

There is no conflict. AppImage do not install files. It's a self contained
executable.
2/ Run the AppImage as well with the option to run under GDB to get a
backtrace, as explained here :
