This is somewhat odd. Since I'm not aware of any usability issues stemming from showing the arrow for long-press menu buttons, my recommendation would be to add them back to regular menu buttons too. I think it's important for buttons which open menus to visually telegraph this somehow. There's a reason why the combobox exists looks the way it does rather than looking identical to any other button.
