I haven't seen this problem on my box, Also on Archlinux but haven't used the
repo's package of Krita, only git-master build and the appimage.
Just to make sure is not a corrupted settings have you tried to remove/backup
the .local/share/krita folder and the .config/kritarc ? Since reinstalling
would not change a thing if this are preserved, and they are not removed by
pacman.
