Henrik Fehlauer <rk...@lab12.net> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Resolution|--- |INVALID CC| |rk...@lab12.net Status|UNCONFIRMED |RESOLVED --- Comment #1 from Henrik Fehlauer <rk...@lab12.net> --- Thanks for your idea. I agree the current behaviour is not an ideal user experience, but I don't think it will work for the general case. After you Export a screenshot, Spectacle is out of the loop. You'll have to use "Save As" in whatever application you are opening the temporary file in and go from there, or simply use the "Copy" function in that app. Spectacle's "Copy to Clipboard" should always work on what's visible in Spectacle, and not change its meaning to copy some temporary file. > "Export Image .." is some kind of "Open with .." That's not impossible to implement, but a slippery slope. For example GIMP by default saves as XCF, and we'd have to tell the user to use "Export" or otherwise this will fail. Such workflows work best for very specific apps, but Spectacle only displays a generic list of apps it gets provided, e.g. it does not know anything about GIMP. Again, best use the "Copy" menu entry in that app. > add a red line annotation You'll be pleased to know that work is ongoing in https://phabricator.kde.org/T6321 to allow for annotating in Spectacle itself. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
