It is not just creating a new account but only if the new account is assigned to an institution. Separately, I cannot reproduce my original crash (on closng KMM if no file is currently open - with either 5.0.1 or git 5.0 head) so they are likely separate issues, even if optimization flags are involved in both. I am attaching a backtrace from gdb.
