Bug ID: 391755 Summary: Improve knewstuff and store integration Product: frameworks-knewstuff Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: jpwhit...@kde.org Reporter: legr...@crans.org CC: kdelibs-b...@kde.org Target Milestone: --- As commented on https://www.reddit.com/r/kde/comments/816hn3/get_hot_new_stuff_really_needs_some_kind_of/ , kNewStuff and store.kde are difficult to use because of outdated extensions. It was pointed out that tracking compatibility was difficult because of the large amount of extensions. Maybe it would be interesting to do something similar to wordpress: each extension can be declared to be compatible for a range of versions of wordpress. This range of compatible versions can be based on the developers input, or on the users feedback. Implementing this kind of mechanism could allow users to tag the extensions as compatible or not with specific kde versions. Of course, developer's choices would superseed users reports up to the version he tagged. I hope I was clear... Thanks a lot for your work ! -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
