I never intend to use text drag and drop, but I frequently unintentionally move
text while attempting to highlight text. A check box in options to disable
this feature globally would be a big improvement.
This is specific to moving highlighted text, not dragging and dropping any
other type of object.
I'm not alone in this. This option does exist in other text editors. Example:

shouldn't be off by default as many people prefer it to cut and paste, but
there are people that almost never cut and paste and very frequently copy and
paste and moving the text on accident is a big inefficiency.
