            Bug ID: 391252
Summary: Dolphin "Find" feature unable to find files
           Product: dolphin
           Version: 17.12.2
          Platform: Manjaro
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: search
          Assignee: dolphin-bugs-n...@kde.org
          Reporter: polarathene-sig...@hotmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Try to search for "plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc". This file belongs
in "~/.config/plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc". KRunner uses the same
search I think as both fail to return a result(so perhaps this isn't a Dolphin
bug?)

Use KFind, and it will return a result instantly. This is a recent but a query
that is easy to reproduce. I have had the same experience with personal files
in various locations.

Another example. In the home directory, I have a "log.txt" file. I enter into
the search field "log"(as well as "log.txt"), I get results but this file is
not one of them. There is a "Log.txt" in a nested directory for one of my
applications. I can confirm this is not due to file size differences. I've
tried various searches on my downloads directory where I'll get small and large
files as results but many others omitted even though I've had these files for a
long time.
