Do you still have that issue?
I can't recreate it on Neon Git Stable, Plasma 5.12.2, KF 5.43.0, Qt 5.10.0,
Dolphin 17.12.2
Klipper tray & plasma widget enabled, "synchronize contents.." enabled
(currently, these share configuration regarding that functionality, so it's
enough to enable it in one of the above).
Copying various hirigana and japanese from this ticket and web.
Dolphin starts without any issues every time.
