Kaffeine saves the frame position using standard KDE method via QSettings.
I was able to reproduce the bug here. The fix was simple: I just removed the
old config file from:
~/.config/Unknown\ Organization/kaffeine.conf
After that, it now properly restores the last geometry for the main window.
