I can confirm this behavior in current Neon git stable (Plasma 5.12.1, KF
5.43.0, Qt 5.9.3, Ark 17.12.2).
Archives created also using Ark in the same system using RAR4 or RAR5 option.
When extraction starts progres bar starts with 50% already, then sometimes it
goes to ~75% and stays on it for a few seconds then quits.
And sometimes it starts, lasts and quits, everything on 50%.
When using unarchiver, progress bar is just a ping-pong going from left to
right and vice versa.
