I myself am not hyngry enough for UDF.
As said, the specification is public:

What may be missing is exact info about
  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blu-ray#Data_format_standards
beyond the demand for UDF 2.50.

Best would be if you could talk him into releasing a Linux version.

The K3B project could well need such a thing stationed at Leslie's home.

My own burner zoo is large enough and partly ill enough for the purpose
of burn backend development.
