Bug ID: 359653 Summary: it is not possible anymore to overlap widgets, instead they resize Product: plasmashell Version: 5.5.4 Platform: Debian unstable OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: k...@davidedmundson.co.uk Reporter: bugzi...@kerridis.de CC: bhus...@gmail.com, plasma-b...@kde.org In some cases I love to have overlapping widgets on the desktop - just a little bit, especially when they are rotated. Personal style and decoration ;). This was no problem with KDE 4. But with Plasma 5 the widgets just don't overlap anymore - and to make it worse, they resize on their own when I try to do so. Just found the perfect size for a widget - and it resizes on its own... Is there a way to allow the widgets to overlap and to not snap to any grid? And to not resize on their own? I don't find any obvious "don't snap to grid" or "allow widgets to overlap" or "KDE4 behaviour" option in the desktop settings or systemsettings. Reproducible: Always Expected Results: Widgets must not resize on their own on the desktop. It should be possible for the user to arrange the widgets as he desires, even if the widgets overlap. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
