Bug ID: 387513 Summary: No DVB-T2 reception from Austria Product: kaffeine Version: 2.0.5 Platform: Debian stable OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: mchehab+...@kernel.org Reporter: stefan...@heimers.ch Target Milestone: --- Kaffeine can't find any DVB-T2 channels from Austria. It has taken me a long time to find the solution, but it's easy: scanfile.dvb does not contain dvb-t2 channels for austria, only the old discontinued dvb-t. For me I have added the following lines which match the settings for the transmitter site Pfänder. [dvb-t/at-All] T2 474000000 8MHz AUTO AUTO AUTO AUTO AUTO AUTO 1 T2 498000000 8MHz AUTO AUTO AUTO AUTO AUTO AUTO 1 T2 554000000 8MHz AUTO AUTO AUTO AUTO AUTO AUTO 1 T2 642000000 8MHz AUTO AUTO AUTO AUTO AUTO AUTO 1 T2 746000000 8MHz AUTO AUTO AUTO AUTO AUTO AUTO 1 T2 778000000 8MHz AUTO AUTO AUTO AUTO AUTO AUTO 1 Note the 1 at the end which is unusual. Most other european countries use stream id 0 with dvb-t2, that's why austrian channels are not found even with generic settings or automatic tuning. You can find a list of all channels in Austria at https://www.simplitv.at/fileadmin/user_upload/Simplitv/documents/downloads/Senderliste_Antenne.pdf You might also want to add the channels for MUXA and MUXB to the sections for Switzerland, Bavaria and Baden-Würthenberg as they contain free to air programmes and have quite some overspill. I'm now watching TV from Austria in Zurich with a HMP-Combo USB stick and Kaffeine which is 100km away from Austria. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
