Thanks for reporting. Looking at the backtrace, I strongly suspect this is a
problem with the exiv library and therefore a duplicate.
I would encourage you to test Gwenview again with a current/supported version
of openSUSE (42.2, 42.3, Tumbleweed). Feel free to reopen if it is still
crashing and possibly attach a problematic jpg file so we can reproduce.
