            Bug ID: 385297
Summary: Search results are case sensitive on MySQL remote
                    database
           Product: digikam
           Version: 5.6.0
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Searches
          Assignee: digikam-bugs-n...@kde.org
          Reporter: gijss...@me.com
  Target Milestone: ---

Not sure if I should report this under Search or Databases-MySQL but here goes:
We have a remote MySQL database on Ubuntu for digikam and a few windows clients
connecting to that database instance.
When we create a "Test" tag and tag a few photos and then use the Search
Dialogue to search for the tagged photos using the keyword "test" we dont find
the "Test"-tagged photos; The results are case sensitive. This is not
consistent with the behaviour of a locally installed SQL-Lite database.
If we search for "test" in that database we do get the "Test" tags also.

I would love to hear if we can fix this ourself in the database or if this is
something in the software client.
