            Bug ID: 359135
Summary: Visual glitches right after startup
           Product: kwin
           Version: 5.5.4
          Platform: Gentoo Packages
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: kwin-bugs-n...@kde.org
          Reporter: igor.pobo...@gmail.com

Right after signing in to my session, the splashscreen picture remains on the
background (see attached screenshot). However, it reacts on the mouse
right-click; but I cannot interact with my plasma widgets.
Panels appear above that splashscreen; but at some random point it hangs.

When I don't interact with my desktop so screen locker should appear, it
doesn't show up (instead it shows my desktop), but it does block all the input.
I can blindly enter my password and it allows me to log in.

If I disable compositing (Alt+F12), the splashscreen glitch disappears allowing
me to interact with my desktop; but then kwin instantly crashes (see attached
gdb backtrace). But this might be another issue.

Reproducible: Always

00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Haswell-ULT Integrated
Graphics Controller (rev 0b)
09:00.0 3D controller: NVIDIA Corporation GK208M [GeForce GT 730M] (rev a1)
(I use bumblebee; the main video adapter is Intel one)

Kernel 4.4.0 with "pf" patchset
Mesa 11.1.1
xf86-video-intel 2.99.917_p20160203
xf86-video-nouveau 1.0.12

Downgrading either of them didn't help, which is weird: this bug appeared about
a week or two ago, apparently after some upgrade. I also tested it with fresh
setup (logged in as new user): it occurs.
