I am having the same problem with korganizer 5.5.3 on Gentoo. "akonadictl
restart" fixes it but it later fails again.
Furthermore, the reminder system has stopped working (no pop-up window, no
sound).
And it insists in showing dates & times using the US format even though the KDE
settings specify the european format, and the "digital clock" in the taskbar
does show the time in european format.
