Hm... There simply must be something different between those two systems you're
talking about, something that explains the issue. It's not something we can
'fix' in Krita, though, for that it should be more generally reproducible. You
could try another Qt5/Kf5 application like Kate
(http://kate-editor.org/2014/11/30/kate5-on-windows/) perhaps; if that shows
the same behaviour the issue is likely an interaction between Qt and your
Windows system, if not, something else is going on.
