Maybe for some, but apparently you didn't even read it all: I also can't disable window minimizing & maximizing animations, and animations in the panel (classic application menu, pop-ups.) The ones that even have a radio button, it's not clear what the off or default option is. For example, some sets are 'looking glass, magnifier, zoom' (I want none of them,) 'magic lamp,' 'minimise animation' (I want none of them,) 'desktop cube animation,' 'fade desktop,' 'slide' (I want none of them.)
