In the Windows build of Kdenlive, hitting the "play" button in the project
monitor (or using spacebar) works at first, but after I've repositioned the
playhead, subsequent attempts to play the project do nothing until I click on
the timeline. Then the playback will start where I clicked after stuttering a
bit. This makes auditioning the video as I edit it very cumbersome.
This seems to happen regardless of the video file i use, but in case it's
important, I was using an MP4 file with H264 video codec and AAC audio codec.
