appletsrc after bug
With reference to bug 371858, I would like to report that the same issue has
occurred to me in Plasma 5.10.4 (Mageia Cauldron). Hardware setup is the same
(laptop connected to external monitor); Plasma Desktop configuration was redone
manually from the Mageia default, so this time there are just 2 duplicate
containments (see attached appletsrc).
Steps to reproduce the bug:
- remove the plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc of the user profile and
log in to Plasma; this initializes the desktop to the system default (Mageia)
- manually add/remove Plasma Widgets to configure the desired desktop
- after a few reboots, at login the wrong desktop is presented (empty desktop
with Plasma's default wallpaper, not Mageia's, no widgets); another
reboot/relogin brings back the correct desktop
NOTE: no software updates were performed between reboots
