kscreen-console gives Name: "DP-2-Pro2840m/V900A23K\nÿ"
under X11 it instead gives:
Device ID: "xrandr-DELL P2714T-3K257388510S"
Name: "DELL P2714T"
but the edid information seems also weird:

Device ID: "xrandr-Pro2840m-V900A23K �"
Name: "Pro2840m"
Vendor: ""
Serial: "V900A23K �"
So I'm actually a bit unsure if X11 isn't also bad, except that it doesn't show
in the KCM then.
