I can't reproduce this problem, neither with kdevplatform 5.1 branch, nor with
kdevplatform v5.1.1. Qt version 5.7.1.
Needs more investigation from your side, I'm afraid. Like valgrind'ing through
KDevelop and trying to reproduce the problem using that:
KDEV_DISABLE_JIT=1 valgrind kdevelop
