This is due to the way magnetism works. Afaik, I don't know anyone who uses
magnetism less than 1000 and I am not sure why we allow this to be configured
because apparantly it does cause confusion.
The expected result, as far as I can understand, can only be achieved if we
provided a parallel spline ruler.
