Jarosław Staniek <stan...@kde.org> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ever confirmed|0 |1 CC| |stan...@kde.org Status|UNCONFIRMED |CONFIRMED Component|General |Tables --- Comment #1 from Jarosław Staniek <stan...@kde.org> --- Thanks Ian! Setting "Search" to "(All Rows)" searches from the first record. Searching is restarted whenever user moves the table cursor or changes search criteria. Both in tables and forms. The user experience here is modeled after MS Access and also familiar (simpler) applications such as text editors (e.g. Kate) or spreadsheets (Calligra Sheets, LibreOffice Calc, Excel). None of them restarts searching automatically (this would remove Find Next) or has a "Find First" action. Among the apps LibreOffice Calc offers largest feature set, some of them would be useful, e.g. "Find All", "Search current selection", Search in rows/columns and other. Feel free to file any wish related to searching. PS: Small thing: we're using the "Record" term in Kexi so I see the setting shall be called "(All Records)" since 3.1. Or maybe the "(All Rows)" can be changed to something else like "Down from first" and "Up from last"? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
