Steps to reproduce:
1. Open the application launcher.
2. Hover over "applications" and wait for the launcher to switch to that
section.
3. Type an application name to search for it.
4. Press enter to open the application.
5. Open the launcher again. It will appear like this (favorites panel shows
list of application categories):
