Bug ID: 378610 Summary: Konsole fails to render bitmap fonts properly above codepoint 255 Product: konsole Version: 16.12.3 Platform: Archlinux Packages OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: font Assignee: konsole-de...@kde.org Reporter: marc...@seznam.cz Target Milestone: --- Tested on Arch Linux $ uname -roms Linux 4.10.6-1-ARCH x86_64 GNU/Linux $ konsole -v konsole 16.12.3 $ kf5-config -v Qt: 5.8.0 KDE Frameworks: 5.32.0 kf5-config: 1.0 1. Set Konsole font to any bitmap font. I've tried "GohuFont" from AUR or "Misc Foxed" from extra/xorg-font-misc. Both seem to have the same issue. 2. Display any unicode character: `echo "příliš žluťoučký kůň úpěl ďábelské ódy"` Those characters above cp255 are not rendered with GohuFont even if GohuFont should contain those characters http://i.imgur.com/Ipkk4WT.png Expected result: Well, fonts rendered correctly, like in st: http://i.imgur.com/E5rh7zP.png Note: If I set to draw intense characters in bold, Konsole suddenly renders those characters in GohuFont, but in their regular variant: http://i.imgur.com/bRCiXoL.png Note 2: The issue is not only in Konsole, but in Kate as well. (So I suspect it may be a Qt issue, but I'm not sure) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
