Bug ID: 524598
Summary: Split view focus keyboard shortcuts no longer work
consistently/correctly
Classification: Applications
Product: konsole
Version First 26.04.2
Reported In:
Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: split-view
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
DESCRIPTION
When attempting to navigate between split views using the keyboard shortcut
ctrl+shift+ up/down/left/right, it no longer works consistently or with the
expected behaviour. It is especially broken in the up direction.
Doing a git bisect, I was able to find that commit
3b1faa569ceadda6b4489857d84c589640601fc4 was the cause of this
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Split horizontally once
2. Attempt to switch terminals with ctrl+shift+left
3. Split vertically and re-attempt 2.
4. Focus the bottom right terminal and attempt to focus the top right terminal
with ctrl+shift+up
OBSERVED RESULT
The ctrl+shift+left shortcut doesn't work until the right terminal was split
vertically, when this has been split, ctrl+shift+up doesn't work but left/right
suddenly does
EXPECTED RESULT
The shortcuts should always focus the desired direction as it did before the
above mentioned commit
