SUMMARY / FEATURE REQUEST:
When running the full-screen slideshow tool, there is currently no option in
the On-Screen Display (OSD) / caption settings to show the current photo's
position relative to the total number of items being presented (e.g., "Image 15
/ 120" or "15/120").
Adding an image counter or index variable to the slideshow OSD configuration
would greatly improve usability during presentations and manual reviews.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1. Select an album or multiple images.
2. Launch the slideshow (F9 or Tools -> Slideshow -> Advanced Slideshow /
Slideshow).
3. Open the Slideshow settings (or OSD / Caption settings).
4. Look for an option or metadata token to display current index / total items
count.
OBSERVED RESULT:
The OSD can display various metadata items (file name, exposure, date, rating,
titles/captions), but there is no built-in token or checkbox for current
sequence index and total queue length (e.g., "Current / Total").
EXPECTED / DESIRED RESULT:
Provide an option in Slideshow Settings -> On-Screen Display (or as a string
macro/token like %[index] / %[total]) that renders:
- An image counter (e.g., "14 / 85")
- Configurable alongside other OSD elements (file name, timestamp, etc.)
USE CASES:
- Giving live presentations where the presenter or audience needs to know how
many slides remain.
- Manually stepping through a large collection to track progress.
