DESCRIPTION
19 July 2026 Garuda Linux update resulted in a glitching, looping default login
screen, with my custom login screen no longer showing.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
Prior to additional update attempt(s):
1. Tried switching from SDDM to Plasma
2. Changed default login screen instead of my custom login background
3. Switched from X11 to Wayland
OBSERVED RESULT
After the above changes, another update attempt resulted in the same glitching,
looping login screen, with the added issue of the windows no longer going to
"full screen"
EXPECTED RESULT
Need to be able to update my system.
SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System (available in the Info Center app, or by running `kinfo` in a
terminal window):
KDE Plasma Version: 6.7.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.27.0
Qt Version: 6.11.1
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I am currently running on a pre-update snapshot from 19 July 2026, as I am
unable to update.
