Kaffeine should not be reading EPG messages when it starts, except if a record
is scheduled to happen at the moment Kaffeine starts). On such case, it will
need to open the DVB device, with could take some time, specially if the device
requires to load a firmware (on some legacy devices, firmware load can take up
to 30 seconds).

If this is not the case, please attach the messages with debug enabled.
