If there exists an open kate window with Document A, opening Document B will raise Document A's window, and opening Document C after that will also raise Document A. This happened 100% of the time, on Fedora, CachyOS, Kubuntu, and Windows 11. On Windows, the current version from the Microsoft store as well as build 26.07.70 has this bug. However, after a recent stable update (tested in Fedora), it is partially fixed. In the scenario described above, the newest opened document will raise focus (correct behavior) but the previous document will appear right behind it even if it was minimized. If Document A is open and minimized on virtual desktop X, opening Document B on virtual desktop Y no longer makes Document A steal focus.
