Summary: Strange behavior with Folder View widget on Mageia 10
(KDE Plasma)
Classification: Plasma
Product: plasmashell
Version First 6.5.5
Reported In:
Platform: Mageia RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: Desktop icons & Folder View widget

Target Milestone: 1.0
Hello,
I recently installed Mageia 10 with KDE Plasma and encountered a strange
behavior while configuring my desktop.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Set Desktop Layout to "Folder View".
2. Set its Location to "Desktop folder".
3. Add a separate "Folder View" widget to the Desktop.
4. Set the Location of this widget to another directory (e.g., "Home").
5. Log out and log back in.
In this specific scenario, if I copy and paste a file or folder onto the
desktop, the newly created item does not appear visually. Interestingly,
creating a completely new file or folder directly via the context menu works
perfectly. Pressing F5 to refresh the desktop does not help.
The strangest part is that if I change the location of the "Folder View" widget
back to "Desktop folder", copying and pasting files/folders starts working
properly again.
Does anyone know what might be causing this issue or how to fix it?
