I've started using Plasma 5.9 on Wayland in my day to day work, and I found
that when I'm switching my keyboard layout (using shortcuts) I see very
annoying OSD on screen. As I'm on desktop (no touchscreen or something) I don't
really want to see any kind of OSD on layout switch event.
For now the only workaround that I've found is to edit
/usr/share/plasma/look-and-feel/org.kde.breeze.desktop/contents/osd/Osd.qml and
to disable OSD (set timeout to 0). This is not fully disables OSD, but at least
makes it almost invisible.
I also think that this behavior is Walyand-related and is not there on X11.
