            Bug ID: 522086
Summary: Spectacle does not warn before closing unsaved
                    screenshots
    Classification: Applications
           Product: Spectacle
      Version First 6.6.4
       Reported In:
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: minor
          Priority: NOR
         Component: General
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
                CC: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

DESCRIPTION
Currently, if you take a screenshot by launching Spectacle when Save file to
default folder is not checked, it will pop up the unsaved screenshot as an
image, opened within Spectacle. Despite this screenshot being unsaved --
pressing Escape or the close window button will immediately close the
screenshot preview, without warning that it will be lost.

This is made worse by https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=522081 -- that
Spectacle does not save screenshots by default. I recently lost a bunch of
screenshots due to not realizing that they weren't saved, and not getting any
popups warning me before closing unsaved screenshots.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Launch Spectacle.
2. Click-and-drag, then press Enter, to take a screenshot.
3. Press escape and observe the window close immediately.

OBSERVED RESULT
The screenshot window closes immediately, despite being unsaved.

EXPECTED RESULT
I _think_ the screenshot window should instead prompt you to save your file or
explicitly discard this. However, I am not sure! I can see someone finding use
in the current behavior, i.e. taking a bunch of screenshots this way to pin as
temporary screen freezes...

I think the current behaviour is probably bad all things considered, though.
