--- Comment #8 from Zamundaaa <[email protected]> --- The only thing I can think of is if the GPU can't switch between memory clocks without a modeset, and changing this option makes KWin do a modeset. With a tool like nvtop or corectrl, please check if memory clocks are higher after you change the display options than before.
