NeoChat from current git master via KDE's nightly Flatpak repo
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Write "this is some text" in the chat text field but do NOT press enter
2. use the arrow keys to position the insertion point before the "s" in "some"
3. Hold down the shift key and press the right arrow key four times
4. with the Shift key still held down, press the left arrow key once
OBSERVED RESULT
" some" is selected
EXPECTED RESULT
"som" is selected
